Before anything else
Nothing on this site is a booking.
GlideBlue has not opened. The search on the home page does not reserve a boat, does not hold a date and does not take a payment. It records the crossing you asked for and offers to tell you when the service opens. No contract is formed by using it.
The opening date shown by the countdown is our intention, not a guarantee. It depends on conditions we publish openly on the Miami page: captains signed and a dock confirmed by the first of December. If those are not met we move the date and we say so on that page rather than opening to a city where nobody can answer you.
How it will work
We are the place where you meet them. We are not the operator.
What GlideBlue does
- Puts your request in front of independent licensed professionals
- Checks their licence, registration and insurance before their first request, and at each expiry
- Handles the payment and issues the receipt
- Takes a commission on each completed booking, from the professional's side
- Removes anyone whose papers lapse, until they are back in order
What GlideBlue does not do
- Own or operate any boat or aircraft
- Employ the captains, owners or air operators
- Set or cap the prices they quote
- Run a scheduled service: every crossing is a private booking a customer asked for
- Decide whether it is safe to go out. That is the captain's call, always, and cancelling for weather is free

The name GlideBlue, the logo and the contents of these pages belong to us. The photographs used to illustrate the service are illustrations, not photographs of trips we have operated, and we never present them as such. The screens shown are photographs taken inside our own application.
We try to keep figures such as crossing times and distances accurate, and we say where they come from. They describe typical conditions and are not a promise about your day: weather, traffic and tides decide.
We may change these terms as the service opens. The date at the top tells you when we last did.
GlideBlue is run from France by Nils Cazalens and will operate in Florida through a company being incorporated there. Until that company exists, these terms are governed by French law, and any dispute a consumer wishes to bring may be brought before the court of their own place of residence. This paragraph will be updated the day the United States company is registered.
